Above is the Video of the Final Farewell of the N747 GR 747-100 Testbed aircraft headed to her final resting place.

N747GE was a magnificent aircraft and the 25th Boeing 747-100 built. This aircraft first flew in 1969 and delivered to Pan Am. Shortly after Pan Am went defunct, this aircraft was sold to General Electric. During N747GE's long flying career flying as a a testbed, this aircraft flew most of the engines that General Electric developed and maintained during the same period of time.

This Aircraft carried the iconic engine that now powers the 777. This aircraft also was instrumental in test flying the GEnx Engine that powers the 787 Dreamliner.

General Electric Transformed this aircraft from a passenger aircraft that required many changes such as removing the seats, bolstering the left wing and tail for flight testing and installing data system computers. N747GE  provided critical flight data on more than 11 GE aircraft engine models and 39 engine builds, most notably for the Engine Alliance GP7200 and CF34 (For Regional Jets), GE90, GEnx,. The aircraft also tested engines suc as the CFM56 and LEAP, as well as the Passport for business aviation.

November 15th, 2018 flew for the last time from Victorville, CA to Tucson, Az to be displayed at the Pima Air and Space Museum. It was Towed to the museum and is now on display Along With A Cathay Pacfiic 777.
